So, this “classic” horror flick, a slasher where a murderer stalks and kills coeds at a summer camp, is…well not as great as it was billed to be. The atmosphere is fantastic, with the dread being more for the audience than the characters. However, the acting is horrific, the villain is hilariously overpowered until they aren’t, and one of the characters makes multiple dumb decisions that made me want to throw things. All the tropes. Amazed they made so many of these when the first was such utter trash. But hey, Kevin Bacon is in it, so that’s cool.
